Why You're Here

Why you may have been referred.

If your doctor, dentist, ENT, sleep physician, or another provider sent you here, it usually means your symptoms are getting in the way — of sleep, of comfort, of how you feel during the day. You may have already tried options that did not work the way you hoped, and your provider believes a focused evaluation could help you find a better path forward.

Patients are often referred to Advanced Dental Care when:

You are not starting over. You are getting another set of clinical eyes on a problem that deserves a clear answer.

What We Evaluate

Conditions and concerns we evaluate.

We focus on the areas where dentistry, sleep, and jaw function overlap — and where patients often feel stuck between specialties.

CPAP intolerance
Sleep-related dental concerns
Snoring and sleep appliances
TMJ symptoms
Jaw pain
Clenching and grinding
Facial tension
Bite-related discomfort
Therapeutic Botox evaluation

If your concern is not on this list but feels related, it is still worth a conversation.

Meet The Provider

Dr. Mike Bennett.

Dr. Mike Bennett, Advanced Dental Care
Dr. Mike Bennett

Collaborative care for sleep, TMJ, and jaw function.

Dr. Mike Bennett leads Advanced Dental Care in Provo and works closely with physicians, dentists, and specialists across Utah County. His focus is straightforward: help patients who are dealing with sleep, jaw, and bite-related concerns find a practical next step — and keep referring providers in the loop along the way.

Patients describe him as approachable and clear. Referring providers describe him as collaborative, responsive, and grounded in conservative care. He does not push aggressive treatment plans, and he does not replace the role of a sleep physician, ENT, or primary care provider. He fills a specific gap: the dental side of sleep, TMJ, and jaw function — explained in plain language, with options that fit the patient in front of him.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need a referral?

No. A referral is helpful context, but you are welcome to request an appointment on your own.

What if I already have a dentist?

That is completely fine. We focus specifically on sleep, TMJ, and jaw concerns, and we do not replace your general dentist. We are happy to coordinate so your regular care continues uninterrupted.

Do you replace my sleep doctor?

No. Dr. Bennett does not diagnose sleep disorders or replace the role of a sleep physician. He works alongside your sleep doctor to address the dental side of sleep — most often when an oral appliance may be appropriate or when CPAP has been difficult to tolerate.

Can you help if I cannot tolerate CPAP?

Often, yes. CPAP intolerance is one of the most common reasons patients are referred to us. We can evaluate whether oral appliance therapy may be an appropriate option for your situation and coordinate with your sleep physician.

What is oral appliance therapy?

An oral appliance is a custom-fit device worn during sleep, similar to a retainer, that helps support the airway. It is one possible alternative or complement to CPAP for certain patients. Whether it is appropriate depends on your diagnosis, anatomy, and your sleep physician's input.

Can TMJ symptoms be treated conservatively?

In many cases, yes. Our approach starts with the least invasive options that fit your situation. We focus on understanding the cause first, then recommending care that matches the severity of what you are experiencing.

Is Botox always part of treatment?

No. Therapeutic Botox is one option we may discuss when clinically relevant — typically for jaw tension or clenching — but it is never assumed or required. Many patients are helped without it.

How do I schedule?

Call (801) 375-1414 or request an appointment using the button below. If you were referred, let us know who sent you so we can coordinate with their office.
